[...] I began this blog more than a year ago, with the impetus being my driving home one hot, summer day and suddenly feeling the need to share the experience. Daydreaming aside, I just realized that I have never written about my daily commute. On a day where traffic moves at a reasonable pace (but also taking into consideration the possibility of some type of delay), my roundtrip travel time averages approximately fifty-four minutes. I obviously try and use this time to my advantage, whether it’s listening to music, studying a college-level not-for-credit course, or dabbling in foreign-language comprehension. However, I am also very aware that these fifty-four minutes can be squandered quite easily. What follows is, in my opinion, an occurrence of sheer coincidence that can then in turn be(and will be) co-opted for fate-like motivational purposes. [...]
